PLEASE CHECK ALL GOODS FOR DAMAGE WITHIN 2 DAYS OF RECEIPT, EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO PLANS TO USE THEM IMMEDIATELY. AFTER THE 2 DAY GRACE PERIOD, YOU ARE NOT COVERED FOR AN IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT ITEM BY THE MANUFACTURER TO PREVENT ISSUES WHERE DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED BY THE USER AFTER DELIVERY HAS TAKEN PLACE

Our Stock Policy

All of our available items are shown on the website even if they are not in presently in stock with us. This reflects the fact that all products are available to buy and are located either in our warehouse, are in stock with the manufacturer, or are available to order. If you need further clarification on a product lead time please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we can advise a delivery date. We give an estimated delivery date based on stock being readily available from the manufacturer, this does not allow for items that are awaiting production and subsequently on a short lead time which we do not find out until placing your order. We always do everything that we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible and will let you know if there is a delay longer than the estimated delivery date stated on our website.

Making plans for your order

Please do not book a fitter until goods are physically in your possession and you have checked for any damages. We do not open boxed appliances when they arrive with us from the manufacturer so we are unaware of any factory damage that may have occurred to the appliance inside.

Adverse weather conditions, damage in transit, lost in transit and other delays could all affect your goods reaching you and being able to be fit as planned, therefore you should not have a tradesman arranged until your order is with you safe and sound.

We do not offer compensation for taking time off work to receive a delivery that does not arrive due to unforeseen circumstances, nor for covering the cost of tradesman which were booked and paid for in advance so please do not contact us in the unlikely event that this happens.

Pricing and Payment

Payments can be made by, but are not limited to, Visa credit, Visa debit, MasterCard & Maestro cards using the Sage Pay & PayPal forums which you will be assisted with at the Checkout stage.

We are happy to accept payments over the telephone for your order up to a value of £500 using your payment card (American Express only accepted when you pay via PayPal) but will require a copy of your driving license or similar to comply with fraud prevention to be able to do so. You can also pay by bankers draft or BACS Transfer, just give us a call to make arrangements. Please note that we will always encourage you to checkout online as there is no fraud prevention by paying over the telephone in the same way as when you checkout online.

All goods must be paid for in full by which ever method at time of ordering. Due to fluctuations in exchange rates and fraud prevention we do not accept payment made by credit or debit cards from cards outside of the UK and PayPal will refuse all International transactions at point of ordering. Please contact us before hand to confirm the delivered price if ordering from outside of the UK, you will then be able to pay via PayPal or Bank Transfer.

If your billing address and delivery address differ, we will need to validate the information provided with our Identity Verification partner. In addition we will require a faxed or e-mailed copy of a utility bill to verify invoice address details. This will help to protect you and us against fraudulent transactions.

All of our prices include VAT.

Damaged Goods

No claims for visible damage will be accepted after the goods have been signed for as checked. Any visible damage should be reported to our customer service department at the point of delivery on hello@theKitchenSeller.com . Please do not fit or use a product that is incorrect or different to that which was ordered. Failure to comply with these guidelines will deem that you have accepted the goods and we would be unable to return or replace them in the usual company fashion.

Please note that all goods must be checked by recipient upon delivery, although a damaged box is an indication that damage has occurred during delivery, this is not always the case. We therefore must stress the fact that all goods leave us in brand new, undamaged condition and as a result if you sign for an item which later turns out to have transit damage you are not covered by the warranty or returns policy.

Faulty Goods

Your manufacturer’s warranty will not apply if the fault you are faced with arises from excessive wear and tear in our/their reasonable opinion, deliberate damage, accidental damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without manufacturer approval. Claims regarding faulty goods will be subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty but this does not affect your statutory rights.

If your product appears not to be functioning correctly please first check the manufacturer’s instruction book and follow the fault-finding guide. If a product has been installed then the manufacturer will need to send a service engineer to inspect the appliance to establish the nature of the fault. Please remember if a product is found to be installed incorrectly the manufacturer reserves the right to charge for the service call.

Domestic appliances are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty or the point of sale extended warranty if used in a commercial environment.

If you have a fault with your appliance please contact us on hello@theKitchenSeller.com and we will assist you in dealing with the manufacturer or dealing with the manufacturer on your behalf if goods are under 6 months old.

Faulty Goods Under 6 Months Old

Recent changes in the Sale of Goods Act stipulates that us, the retailer, are required to assist you with obtaining a repair or replacement for any appliance that develops a fault within the first 6 months. As a retailer, within the 6 month period following delivery, although contracted with us, the manufacturer will carry out the necessary checks on your appliance to decide if the fault warrants a repair or replacement. We will work with you the consumer and the manufacturer of the faulty appliance to reach a suitable conclusion. As some appliance repairs and exchanges are of a complex nature (due to size, location, nature of the fault) we ask for you patience and understanding while we access all of the relevant avenues to ensure you receive the appliance that you paid for.

Domestic appliances are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty or the point of sale extended warranty if used in a commercial environment.

Making a Return

Consumer Contract Regulations state that you are able to make a return within 14 days of goods reaching you. For some larger, bulky items, you are responsible for making your own return at your own cost. For any goods that can be collected by DPD (or other third party courier), The Kitchen Seller will endeavour to assist you in arranging a collection on your behalf. The cost for returning goods via this method is £20 and will be deducted from your refund total. Returns are not accepted unless prior agreed with the sales team by written request to hello@thekitchenseller.com. Refunds will be issued via the same method that original payment was made. Worktops, kitchens and other bespoke or made to order items within your order are not covered by the standard returns policy which is supported by the Consumer Contract Regulations.

We do not accept returns for goods not in their original packaging. Any items returned to us without the original manufacturer's packaging will be refunded less 50% or we can re-deliver to you at your cost.

Missed Delivery Charges

If we have scheduled delivery with you, you have confirmed suitability and you fail to be present at the time of delivery and do not inform us of your need to rearrange then there is a charge to re-deliver. If you do not wish to pay the additional charge then goods will be returned to our warehouse, we will refund you less return delivery charges to us (this charge will vary depending on your location and the product that is being returned to us). Some items are also subject to a restocking charge which we will advise you of before making the deduction.

Cancelling Delivery of a Dispatched Order

If you decide to cancel your order once it has been dispatched then you are liable to pay the return carriage fees to our warehouse plus any premium delivery charges that you selected above and beyond Free Home Delivery. The amount payable for return carriage will be deducted from the total refund value when goods reach us.
